3 mistakes online entrepreneurs make when trying to scale

So many online entrepreneurs find themselves on the master wheel of content creation. working all the time, and doing all the things.

Here's the thing though...

Overworking was not the reason you started your online business! But there will be times you’ll find yourself overwhelmed, stretched and without the freedom you hoped for. Without all that extra time you thought you'd have to spend with your family or even just for yourself!

You may think you need to do it all in your online business, but the truth is, that is not sustainable.

It’s all about building your business and scaling it for freedom and space requires YOU to set yourself up for success!

As an Online Business Manager, I see 6-figure businesses on the inside on a daily basis, and the 3 biggest mistakes I see online entrepreneurs make are:

Hiring too late.

Most entrepreneurs think about hiring and outsourcing but they don’t really know where to start or how to find the right person for the job. This often leads to postponing it, or procrastinating on outsourcing. When their business is growing fast, they will soon find themselves in the position of total overwhelm and there is no space to look for support, let alone instruct and train someone.

Serving on a 1:1 basis for too long

This leads to a situation where they need to market more, sell more, and serve more. Don’t forget that 75% of business efforts need to be in marketing and sales. Therefore, a full client roster will force you to do those activities in the fringes of the day, aka evenings, and weekends. You will find yourself working all the time. Shift to group offers as soon as possible.

Too little breaks and no recovery time

It’s very tempting to think about your business 24/7. Ideas come all the time and there is always something to do. It is very important to take conscious breaks from work to recoup and rejuvenate. It will help your creativity. Plan for space on purpose. Take breaks during the day. Don’t work on the weekends. Do something else.

Shfiting those things will help you build a more sustainable way of working in and on your business.
